This year, Atlanta ranked 2nd in the nation for most access and availability to wireless internet, which is great news if you’re planning on spending any time here. This category measures what percentage people with home internet have-speed connections. For this, Atlanta was the top city in the nation coming in at number one! Another measure of a cities wireless success is the number of Wi-Fi hotspots per capita throughout the area. Atlanta ranked number two in this category. One area where Atlanta ranked a bit lower on the list was in access options. This is a measure of how many companies provide high speed internet, and Atlanta was 16 in this category. Companies such as Cox Communications, BellSouth and EarthLink are all headquartered in Atlanta and contribute to the cities strong presence of wireless internet.The advantages of living in a city with abundant internet access are endless. This is usually an indicator of a strong and growing job market as growing companies typically utilize high-speed wireless internet. There are most likely a number of internet providers to choose from so you can find the best product for you and your family. Being a leader in wireless Internet, Atlanta is probably doing a great job of staying up to date on the latest Internet advancements, one of which is 4G wireless.
